I’ve been toying with the idea of blog rings and was wondering if any of you have info to share – especially if you participate. I’d like to know more about where to find directories to search by topic or locale.
Not sure if I want to subscribe to any of them or not… Please do share your thoughts on that. I’m thinking at the very least it would be a great way to find more “favorite” blogs from people with shared interests.

Joining a ring sometimes gives you a nifty button to put on your blog. But seriously, it’s a way of listing yourself on a directory with like minded blocks. I guess it’s a means of getting more traffic to your site. But I haven’t found that to be the case.

Yeah, I’m a member of several blog rings as you can see in my blog, and to be honest I don’t think I’ve gotten any real traffic from any of them. I also wonder about its integrity, since on two of the rings I’m supposed to be a member of have not as of yet included my name in the members list! I’ve tried emailing them over and over, but with no response.

I have a lot of rings on my site… I`m not sure if they`re used a lot though. Maybe some more than others. I use ringsurf.com. You can fill in your details once and then submit them to which ring you want. It’s worth a go for extra readers.

I haven’t had much luck with the rings yet. Two places haven’t included me yet, so I made my own. Just go to webrings.com or ringsurf.com
