Didn’t make a post yesterday because it was my husband’s big day… LASIK. We were both nervous, but he was a trooper. The procedure is not as easy as they make it sound. I watched six in a row, live on camera from the next room, and cringed the whole time.
Fortunately, everything turned out beautifully in the end. Today he has better than 20/20 vision, and looks fabulous in his new sunglassess, too. Hooray for laser vision correction, it works like a charm!

I’m just as jealous as the rest of you. Now I’m the only four-eyes left in this house. When my vision got to the point where I needed glasses for night driving and at the movies, I figured it was no big deal… After all, he wears ‘em. But now I’m all by my lonesome.

Some time in the next year or so I’m going to see if I’m eligible. I am so tired of wearing specs! I’m hard on them and am always having to get them fixed, ugh. Time to start that savings account…

I figure its time to hit up Aurora to see if she will pay for mine … long shot, but you never know.

He is up and about all ready? My brother in-law just went through this last week and was on strict orders to sleep and stay in a dark room for a few days. They gave him some meds to knock him out and to take care of any pain.

I’ve heard of others that received the same instructions as your bro-in-law, but my husband’s experience was entirely different. He was fine immediately, not given pain meds or sedatives as they weren’t necessary. He would have been fine to go back to work the next morning. Three days of light activity, five days of special eye drops, and that’s it! Might have something to do with the differences in the laser technology and computer diagnostics at different clinics. I highly recommend Saddleback Eye Center.

That’s so cool. I’ve been debating about having this procedure done but I’m a wimp when it comes to eye surgery… You can cut me open and it won’t even phase me, but that’s only as long as i’m not looking at it. Hehehe!
