My hairstylist finally returned from maternity leave, and it wasn’t a moment too soon because my style had just started to fade from its former bombshell glory. Rest assured, it’s back to gorgeous again.
Speaking of fading, over the last month I witnessed three grays arriving on the scene. Of course, I could never be fortunate enough to have them hidden somewhere in the middle of my mane. Naturally, mine have to appear right at my hairline for all to see.
I’m fully bummed that I’ll need to dye my hair. Though in fairness, half the reason I never got into changing its color was because I knew this day was coming. My stylist assures me that the new dyes are fabulous. We’ll see about that… I booked an appointment.
For those of you in the Los Angeles or Orange County area interested in a referral to a salon staffed by ladies that really know what they’re doing: Please contact Janine (that’s my little hair nazi) or her buddy Jean at Votré Salon in Arcadia, California. They’re located at 834 South Baldwin Avenue, just below the 210 freeway, south of the Santa Anita Fashion Park and Los Angeles County Arboretum… Make a day of it!

You don’t “need” to dye your hair. You can stand against the “Age Nazis” who make people, especially women, feel guilty about growing older. Why feel guilty for being human?

I just have one question… Do the curtains match the drapes?

Those darn Grays, they’re always abducting people and performing horrible experiments on them, I feel so bad for you!
Oh, wait, you’re talking about hair…. ;-P
I have a few of those little hairline “grays”, too. I’ve been doing the henna thing for years: it gives my mousy brunette a little “kick” and there’s NO growout! It just softens until I need to punch it up again. Good luck with the modern dyes. I have several friends of my age and older and they’ve had great, natural looking results with talented stylists!

I’ve been going gray since I was about seventeen. I have to keep my hair highlighted so that all the gray is a little more hidden.

I turned 28 this year, and shortly after my birthday I noticed 3 or 4 gray hairs of my own. They’re right in the middle of the part in my hair towards the front of my head. >.

Man, I’ve ALWAYS wanted grey hair. I used to entertain a fantasy wherein I went completely grey by the time I was 30. Didn’t happen. Three years later and I’m still waiting… My oldest and dearest friend in the world starting greying at 18. Now at 33, what hair he has left is almost completely grey.
