Happy Left-Handers Day to all the sinister creatures out there. I’ve always been glad to be a leftie, even when it wasn’t easy. As it turns out, my love for being a southpaw wasn’t without justification. Apparently our brains are more balanced, and we can kick your ass.
On this special day, I’d like to express my gratitude to my mom and dad for defending my left-handedness when that crazy first grade teacher tried to make me switch on the first day of school. Thanks for making sure I kept something in common with these amazing people.

Crazy left-handed freak of nature. It is weird when I notice that some one I am out with is left handed and then I notice like 2 or 3 other people at the same time.

Supposedly left-handed people only represent 10-12% of the population, and yet they make up over 20% of Mensa members. Maybe we’re freaks, but at least it’s in a good way.

Thanks for the reminder, I will let my left-handed mom know. Funny, she and my dad are both lefties but my sis and I are both righties!

I missed the day though – I was in the car on the way home from a family reunion (where I have 2 lefty cousins).
