Atomic Bombshell

Personification

His BeaknessThis lovebird has been hanging around with people for too long. Lately he’s adopted some very un-bird-like habits. For example, he sleeps on his belly in his little tent… But only in cold weather. He’s a spoiled brat. When he gets bored with his food, he steps in the dish and kicks seeds all over the place like he’s swimming.

But today he topped them all: He flew into the bathroom as I was about to take a tinkle, so I let him stay. He was watching intently, and when I was done, he hopped down onto the toilet seat with his tail facing in the bowl, let one go, and then flew away… Unreal!

So it is true… The average bird is smarter than the average mudder…

I wish we could train the ferret to use the toilet. I’d build a ramp for her to get up there… And by building, I mean going out and buying a ramp.

Hmmm, I think you should start a traveling roadshow with that. If nothing else, I’m sure Ripley’s would be more than happy to air the “potty trained bird”.

My cats won’t let me go in the bathroom on my own if they have anything to say about it. Now if only I could get them toilet trained like your love bird …

My lovely wife forgot to mention a few things our “Owner” does:

    1. If the two of us are sitting together, like when we’re watching TV, the bird will throw a tizzy fit. He is basically saying it’s FLOCK TIME and I should be out there with the family – Get me out of this cage!

    2. If either of us are exercising in the living room, the bird will bat his “bell” around (a toy that hangs from the top of his cage), thumping it just like he’s training for a boxing match. He ONLY does this when we are working out.

    3. If we eat lunch, dinner, or a snack of any kind, its his queue to eat, too. Never mind that he eats all day long. If we’re eating, he will stop what he’s doing, and eat with us.

If I think of any more, I will share them with you.

Maybe you should let it use the flush next.

God, I wish I could teach my dog to do that. At least until winter ends.
