Surgery in less than two weeks… Pre-op tomorrow. No big deal, really. Outpatient… A week or two to heal. Shouldn’t be a problem.
I find what I’m stressing over the most is not how painful this could be, but rather, how quickly I’ll be able to get back into fitness training. I feel fortunate to have something positive to strive for, and hope it will make thost first few days after my operation more tolerable.
This is my first experiment designed to prove the notion that a positive attitude and healthy habits will speed healing, I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed that my theory works… And of course, I’ll keep you posted.

I hurt my back and had to give myself at least a little time off from the gym. I don’t like it one bit.

Hope it all goes swimmingly.
Don’t rush back to the gym, remember, its JUST a gym remember! lol! Your health and healing is far more important (and expensive I should imagine lol)

The best thing going for you is already being in shape - People who go into surgeries in excellent health tend to heal much faster. I can say this having gone through four surgeries in the last three years!!
Positive mental attitude helps too - just listen to your body - If you do something and it hurts quit doing it.
And forward any leftover percocets my way! *MUAH* Good luck, sweetie!!

GOOD NEWS: Pre-op went very well. The surgeon changed his mind about some of the methods, and I am overjoyed with the new direction he’s taking. All of my questions were answered, and I feel prepared to get this done, and then get on the road to recovery!

Glad all is going better then thought. Now, when are you going to change your job and all, and just become a trainer yourself… You love it so much! I think you would be great at it.
